Hiya! I’m a canadian visual designer who spends way too much of my time online. I do my best to stay indoors! Here’s a bit about me:

I’ve been a vegetarian for 3 years now, I’m loving it so far and can’t see me stopping anytime soon. The first thing I noticed is after only 2 weeks of cutting meat out of my diet, I required 2 hours less sleep every night than while I still included meat in my diet. After a month I felt much more energetic and creative. At the time I was busy with homework and projects and I couldn’t afford putting meat back in my diet if it meant I would need to add 2 hours of sleep back into my schedule and feel less creative and less energetic.

I studied graphic design at St Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario and graduated last year. Although I love print design, I have spent most of my time since I graduated working on screen-based projects like web design and screen graphics. It’s been said “do what you love, and never work a day in your life” and I’ve been chasing after that the best I know how. Design is my passion; user-interface design, web design, typography and type design. I love it all!

That tends to leave a bad taste in people’s mouths when they first hear it because that word has been tainted by too many self-professing ‘christians’ having hurt them in the past. Allow me to re-phrase then, I believe in the existence of a deity, and I can’t seem to find anything wrong with the kind of lifestyle Christ lived so I try my best to live the same way myself. I do love to talk about religion, but religion is something I see totally separate from this thing of beauty I’ve found within ‘christianity’. Peace, hope, faith, love, forgiveness and the ability to forgive others – I can’t imagine living life without these. I’m living as half of the greatest love story – between a deity and his creation. As a designer myself I see that creation begs for a creator – when I get inspired by the world around me and all of the brilliant creation that exists, it gets me closer to understanding the creator who made it.

INFJ

I’m an INFJ on the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator, which is given the sub-class ‘Counsellor’ under the class ‘Idealists’, which is one of the rarest types. I’m a deep-thinker, sensitive to others, a silent leader, and shy by nature. I can be very guarded at times. I’m very good at lateral thinking (outside the box) and because of this a lot of times I think I just don’t ‘get’ other peoples thinking, or my process of thinking (logic) seems foreign to others. I strive for innovation and efficiency, reforming outdated models and processes and making everything the best they can be. The description over at Wikipedia explains it so well I have a hard time believing they could be describing anybody else but me.
